About Paradigm Travel
Paradigm (perəˌdīm) is a company offering versatile yoga retreats in the beautiful, but unconventional country of Haiti. While yoga, meditation, and relaxation are central points of our trips, the passion behind Paradigm comes from the idea of shifting your perspective about a place you only thought you knew. Despite what we are shown on television about Haiti, it is a country with rich culture and vibrant people. A place rooted in resilience and unwavering faith. On Paradigm yoga retreats you will experience local live music, learn about the history of the only country to stage a successful slave rebellion in modern times, and experience the dedication and commitment people have in their local communities. 10% of our profits are donated to a local orphanage, Redeemer’s Child that our founder has directly worked with. Guests will also have the opportunity to visit the orphanage and meet the family caring for the children. The Paradigm team is extremely humbled to provide this eye-opening experience to those who are ready for an adventure and ready to journey beyond themselves. Prepare to take in the incredible mountains, miles of coastline, turquoise Caribbean waters, and a culture that you are sure to fall in love with.
All yoga levels are welcome on our trips!

Holly is originally from Street, MD a little farming town north of Baltimore. She moved to Washington DC In 2014 after completing her Master’s Degree in Social Work at Boston College. Since moving to DC, Holly fell in love with vinyasa style yoga and received her 200- hour Registered Yoga Teacher Certification in December 2016. Holly has been traveling to Haiti for seven years volunteering, teaching English, and working on mental healthcare initiatives with the global health non-profit, Partners in Health. During her time in Haiti, Holly experienced the beauty of the Haitian culture, people, and of course, the beaches. She has always wanted to help be a part of sharing a narrative separate from what we hear on the news about Haiti. A narrative rooted in the resilience and unwavering faith and kindness the Haitian people have shown her over the years. Paradigm is the culmination of deep thought and a melding of two things that have shifted her perspective and path in life. Her dream is to not only share her love of yoga and Haitian culture with yoga retreat guests, but also be a small part of the change that is occurring on a daily basis by hardworking Haitian people, which is why the Paradigm company will donate profits to a local non-profit run by a Haitian couple who have taken in over 50 children off the street to educate them and raise the next generation of leaders. She currently teaches yoga at The Dailey Method DC and works as a healthcare consultant.

Nicole is originally from Southern California but moved to Washington DC after graduating from Chapman University School of Law. Nicole owns her own immigration law firm in the D.C metro area. She has had deep passion for yoga since she first stepped on a yoga mat seven years ago. Nicole received her 200-hour Registered Yoga Teacher Certification in May of 2016 and has been teaching yoga at least three times a week ever since. Yoga has become an extension of her being and she would love to share all the light and love that comes along with a routine yoga practice with anyone who is willing to give it a try. Nicole misses the California sunshine from time to time, so she strives to create an environment just as warm and positive for all of her students.
